What is Micromodal?
Share
Micromodal was first developed in the 1990's in Austria and still to this day is only produced in Europe. It is a fabric made from cellulose from beech trees. The cellulose is extracted and subjected to a complex chemical process, which is then transferred into yarn which is then woven into a fabric.

Micromodal is made using a eco-friendly process where many producers use a ''closed-loop'' system. This means that most of the water and chemicals that are used are recovered and then reused reducing majority of waste.

Micromodal has many interesting properties. It's breathable, has high stretchability, high moisture-wicking abilities and is very soft, making it the perfect fabric for underwear, sportswear, loungewear and baby clothing.
